i am getting some road noise from my drivers side front wheel area. it gets louder with increased speed and when i turn the sound goes away. so im thinking i need a new wheel bearing. from what i have found i have to order a whole new wheel hub assembly. but which one do i need? when i look the part up online, there are always like 10 listed and im not sure which one to order. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!!

Definitely sounds like a hub. And correct. You can only get it as a complete assembly. Go to you local parts store. Should only be a few options. 2wd or 4wd. And cheap brand or timken or other name brand.

If yours is 4wd you'll need a 36mm socket to take your cv axle nut off. The hub is held in with 3 17mm or 18mm bolts (can't recall) . Easy job. I can do it in 30min. With air tools. Unthread the nut almost all the way and tap it with a hammer to break the axle free.
