Very interesting information in there! It makes me wonder why they didn't or haven't incoporated some of the aerodynamic changes to the regular tahoe. I'd be intersted to see if the LED tail lights would work on a regular Tahoe, and the aluminum hood interests me, but I'm sure that's big $$.
Well, my hybrid led tails might be up for sale soon as I am considering switching to something more ruby red so I'll let you know if they're available.
The hood unfortunately is a much more complicated and cost prohibitive mod ... not only is it a different shape but the front of it goes out further to be flush with the hybrid's bigger front end grille/air dam bumper cover. You would have to essentially change the whole thing in order for it to look right. If you go to the chevy site and look at the front of the two trucks side by side you will see what I mean.
The one part I've never heard about but I want to learn more is the air compressor!
"Additional mass was eliminated by adapting a tire inflator kit that takes the place of the spare wheel and tire, hoist mechanism, jack and tools found on gasoline-only models. straightforward to use, the tire inflator kit is conveniently located behind the left-rear quarter trim panel within the cargo space."
I want this! I asked about this in another thread but didn't get much of a resonse. My buddy's Trail Blazer SS has a tire inflator in the rear and we use it to fill up our race car's tires. I want one in my 'Hoe! It has every other option, why not. haha
That's a pretty easy accessory to get, I'll try and track down a part number for you.
