Very interesting information in there! It makes me wonder why they didn't or haven't incoporated some of the aerodynamic changes to the regular tahoe. I'd be intersted to see if the LED tail lights would work on a regular Tahoe, and the aluminum hood interests me, but I'm sure that's big $$.

Well, my hybrid led tails might be up for sale soon as I am considering switching to something more ruby red so I'll let you know if they're available.

The hood unfortunately is a much more complicated and cost prohibitive mod ... not only is it a different shape but the front of it goes out further to be flush with the hybrid's bigger front end grille/air dam bumper cover. You would have to essentially change the whole thing in order for it to look right. If you go to the chevy site and look at the front of the two trucks side by side you will see what I mean.

The one part I've never heard about but I want to learn more is the air compressor!

"Additional mass was eliminated by adapting a tire inflator kit that takes the place of the spare wheel and tire, hoist mechanism, jack and tools found on gasoline-only models. straightforward to use, the tire inflator kit is conveniently located behind the left-rear quarter trim panel within the cargo space."

I want this! I asked about this in another thread but didn't get much of a resonse. My buddy's Trail Blazer SS has a tire inflator in the rear and we use it to fill up our race car's tires. I want one in my 'Hoe! It has every other option, why not. haha

That's a pretty easy accessory to get, I'll try and track down a part number for you.

It called "Tire Sealant and Inflator Kit" and it's GM part: 19159309

Yup, that's it ... it's just there to save the weight of the spare tire.

In general, I'm wondering what GM changed between the regular Tahoe and the Hybrid...besides the obvious engine, generator, batteries.

Bmwme,

When comparing the 2011 Tahoe LTZ to the 2011 Tahoe Hybrid I show that the LTZ has fog lamps standard which the Hybrid does not have an option for. Some other things I show that are not available on the Hybrid are recovery hooks, chrome wheels and a luggage rack. These are the exterior differences I saw when comparing the 2011 Tahoe to the 2011 Tahoe Hybrid. I hope this helps. If not, please let me know and I will do some more research!

Thank you!

Can you research the 2050 Corvette?

I wanna know what it will look like, and what engines will be available by then.

I will be dead and gone, just curious what I will miss out on!

Sheriff,

If there was someway I could find out that information, I would love to give it to you. However, I don’t think Chevrolet knows what they are going to do to the Corvette that far down the line. I am curious; too, to see what our vehicles in the future will look like. Hopefully not spaceship looking things!

Thank you!

The running boards and associated molding the go into the fenders also gives the Hybrid impression along with the front bumper cover.

I agree. Running boards and the grill lowers/front bumper cover highly resemble the Hybrid. Along with the rims of course. BUT it has a roof rack... Hmmmm...

I bought a 2007 Yukon over the weekend. Paid cash for it. I was ready and willing to give my money to the first dealer that had the options, mileage and price I was looking for.

I expected to be able to walk in there and dictate terms. Four dealerships later I was SADLY mistaken. They do NOT budge on price anymore. They say they put thier best price on the web and that is that. Got this from four different GM dealerships.

However, after searching high and low around my area I found a listing at a Volkswagon dealership that did not have pics or price on the vehicle. The dealership is ten minutes from my house.

I took a chance and went up there Friday and low and behold a black 07 Yukon with 50K miles, SLT-2 package and I was able to negotiate a GREAT deal with them.

To be honest I think they wanted it off thier lot LOL. I felt like I stole it from them by the time it was all said and done.

nice dude!!! My dad when buying his '10 Crew Cab came across the same thing and I think that's ridiculous. He had cash in hand, as well, but the dealerships wouldn't budge at all. To me, if you're loosing a for sure sale then you make the deal happen unless it requires you to loose money on the deal. In this economy you gotta give a little as not many people are buying brand new or gently used right now and definitely not many laying down cash for them. That VW dealer sounds like they were the only intelligent ones. Nice purchase! :High 5:

This GM price fixing as I call it... it's nationwide. Every dealer will tell you, "This is the price, take it or leave it!" I just experienced the same thing myself at about 6 different dealers in a 60 mile radius.
