Ouch sucks. I havnt really had to do that much on mine since I got it out the back yard. I just have done headlights taillights transmission engine interior lights head unit speakers body bushing and that's about it and it even sat for 7 or so years before I got started working on it

That is why I cannot believe these trucks are so popular! This truck im driving now is the biggest POS I ever owned and I mean that in every shape and form. The brakes suck, they handle like crap, gas mileage is worse then Duelly's with big blocks, rear windows dont roll down more then 3 inches, they ride like crap compared to say an expedition or navigator of the same year, there infamous for blowing out the intake manifold gaskets (did mine 2 or 3 times), same goes for the fuel pump (either on my 3 or 4th), amongst a million other things.

So your not alone it is not only your truck!

Sounds like you didnt do much preventative maintenance or check for wearing items.... Good luck with it.

That is only a small part of it.....My family and I had trucks with double the miles (200K+) that never had a 1/4 of the problems these GMT400's have given us. Luckily my truck is the last one in the herd and as soon as I replenish my funds $$ this POS is gone!

Even if a truck only has 50K and has all up to date maintenance you still have a sub par truck. ****** handling, poor ride, sluggish motor, crappy mileage, some of the worst breaking I ever seen, etc, etc, etc.

(For you that dont know I purchased this truck off my parents) What burns my ass is that my father didnt but the NBS. He didnt want to spend 6-8K more and wound up being one of the worst decisions he ever made.

I will never forget the first time I drove my uncles brand new 2003 Tahoe LT, Holy Shit it was night and day compared to my 2000 Escalade! JMHO

unknown at this time.
Dony, For electrical items just disconnect and reconnect connectors to solve most age related issues for the wind dirty or old motors and track happen to everybody. Other parts where out as well. It is something everybody has to deal with. Some more then others.

I've had several gmt400's and never had much issue with them. When properly maintained they are a goodtruck that'll run for a LONG time with minimal issue.
