If you think about it, 15 years really is A LONG time for things to go bad and wear down. My truck is 11 years old with just about 126k on it. Yeah, its broken down, is blown up a rear end ...twice, and gaskets ...twice, and fuses, and seals, and hubs. Shit happens man, after 11 years of towing, road trips, lazy maintenance schedules, and seeing how long it takes to get to 100 miles an hour on the highway without letting up I give this thing credit. I plan on keeping it for a long while, my neighbor has one with 325k on it. Yeah it looks like a shitbucket, but it runs!

Plus let's admit it, to most of us these things are our babies. We just can't stand the 'fix a part break a part' syndrome they all seem to have.

I JUST got my truck. It currently needs:
Full tune up (Cap, rotor, plugs, wires,EGR Cleaned, Oil change)
Power steering leaks
rear brakes are currently plugged as the line rusted through
power steering hose ruptured last night so that needs fixed
Dont have an exhaust from the muffler back
interior is cracking apart from poor leather care

Still wouldnt trade it for anything, or consider it junk. It has 222k on it and it was poorly maintained by the previous owner. I can fix the above for about $200 tops and have a great running vehicle that will last another 100k with proper care. I refuse to buy anything that isnt on the GMT-400 platform. I had a 92 Silverado and 93 Sierra. Both had well over 200k when I sold them. Theyre still on the road today. The owner of the Sierra reported to me the truck just rolled 300k last month after he replaced the leaky head gasket. I wish you the best of luck getting the truck fixed or replaced. Just remember nothing is bulletproof. Things will always break with age, and its going to be different for everyone, everywhere. Climate, road conditions, driving habits, maintenance and preventative maintenance habits, fuel and other vehicle fluid qualities are just a few things that play a part in vehicle wear and tear.

id like to also add that my truck was running down the road at 30mph (geusstimate)when i took the picture so according to my jacked up cluster im producing more power then the hoover dam and it runs colder than a freezer and slower than a snail

i have no idea the chevy dealership told me to take the cluster to a bodyshop?? wtf and then they have to send it off get it back an then calibrate it to my truck ? didnt think body shops dealt with clusters when i worked at dodge as a maint tech i sure did replace alot of clusters but then again they were new and programable.

New update as well just left the truck at a custom interior shop 175 for the headliner redone in black i think this is a steal so i told him to go ahead an do it
the seats im waiting for because to redo these in black he told me 800 which doesnt sound to bad but wanted yalls opinions

i love my OBS and wouldnt trade it for an NBS i think my heart is set on keepin the old girl however ive been looking at the NNBS hoes an yuks but gota finish paying off my ram first
