idk about the rebuild kits, they dont seem right. best bet is to straight up call your order in. most of the times they give you good deals.. Try randy ring and pinion as well. might be cheaper

What i was going to do is go to a junk yard and try to find the whole differential unit and make sure its in a great condition... Strip it down and just use the housing case.. Then i could just buy everything else and put it all together... How does that sound? unless yall think i should do something else... I got 1500 or about to work with.. Also going to have someone do the work of installing it cause that seams like a B!t$h to do on my own. I will just strip it and take the housing case to them.. Or what do yall think i could do that would be allot better and hold up to the mods i said i had and get better performance, gas milage, and wear if i have fun in it every once in a while?

usually you just but new springs(AND NEW U-BOLTS/NUTS) and give the old up for recycling.

Well in this case, if i am doing the removing or whole deferential, what do u think i should or could do since i want to maybe just stick with a 3 inch to be installed in about a year...? That will just last till i graduate college and then once i do, it will start her HUGE MAKE OVER....

If nothing is wrong with the case do not waste the money. Save it for new springs and hardware.

The case is bent a bit inside the right side where the bearing goes.. if u run ur finger inside of it, you will notice the dent towards the top pushed up a bit and is rough...

For a DD and city driving at that. Why wouldnt you consider 3:73s?
Its a great all around gear, great for street strip and everything in between.
I have 3:73s and a TruTrac and I love it. And, as long as I stay out of it, I get decent MPGs to :)
Just my .02
