Its supposed to grab the blow-by oil from entering your intake ...plumbed into the pcv system

Ok that makes sense. Thanks for link too. Is there any specific brand I should lean more towards or are they all pretty much the same? And is this a popular preventative add on that most ppl would recommend?

Allot of us have the one from catchcans.com it's simple and does the job.

It stops the oil spitting from the pcv from mudding up the intake and tops of the valves n such. You will be shocked by how much blow by these truck have.

I run a bottle of tectron with like every 5th fill up to keep the top clean as well.

Sweet I’ll definitely be checking that site out. I just quickly read through the forum galante just sent me and this guy with a 5.3 said the can filled up every 100 miles. I don’t think that will be my scenario but that’s pretty intense for his situation. Thanks again grey.

It's worth it I just stuck a copper chore boy steel wool pad in mine to slow down any in the air in the can from still making it through.

Read up on the 09+ VCIM swap I mentioned. It will give you Bluetooth hands free. Another cool starter mod.

Is that basically for remote start or does it have any extra functions to it because I already have the factory remote start option on mine.

It's really more for Bluetooth than anything.
