New guy 1996 Tahoe LT Barn Door 4x4 1500

I got this at the end of 2004,279,000 miles engine code R, automatic had the transfer case electric motor changed ,4x4 works good now. Needs some work. Front Brakes , door key locks/ remote need work TLC.
I read here that the Barn Door years are Desireable.
I live in Washington State.

Hi Miami- Dade moderator, I'm still getting used to posting on this forum. I see that there are different forums for different years. I need to spend some time and get acquainted on the format etc. This was built Janb1996 in Wisconsin? Judging from this well worn GM sticker on the druvers door frame,it IS the shape of Wisconsin...right. i have never seen this GM sticker before. I like the running boards, power seats an windows .lots of power but it is a Gas Hog thanks, Jim

I did some " research" .
The Janesville, Wisconsin plant made these Tahoes and Yukons , has since been closed.

I have a 2001 Black Tahoe LS with tan leather & the barn doors. My dad still talks about that truck at least 5x a year. I leased it from 2001-2003 then got a 2003 Escalade ESV. Man that thing was long. I got the 2008 Escalade after that and now a 2018 Escalade luxury. I live the k2xx and it would be cool with the barn doors.
