New to the forum so any and all advice is greatly appreciated! I have a bone stock 07, 5.3L 4WD with the 20" Tahoe (5 spoke) wheels towing a 7'x12' tandom axle enclosed trailer. Fuel economy is averaging 9.3 on the highway at 60MPH with the trailer empty! It constantly wants to run high RPM's when I try to kick it up to the 70 MPH range (Indiana's speed limit) and then I am getting 7 MPG. I have looked into multiple performance tuners for it but need some feedback on what is good and what is junk. I plan on putting a K&N air kit in it to start. I don't expect to get "good" fuel economy pulling the trailer but I certainly cant justify driving 60 MPH on long trips and only getting 9 MPG. Looking for a tuner that will "somewhat" boost fuel economy and allow the truck to pull a trailer at a normal traffic pace. **Not pulling the trailer fuel economy averages 18 on the highway with cruse control set at 70 MPH over a 200 mile trip**

You are pulling a big wind catcher... are you using tow/haul? I averaged around 11-13 with a one car open taller with a truck on it with my old Yukon.

Black Bear Performance on this forum seems to be the favorite tuner.
If you get a K&N be careful when you oil it. A few people have screwed up their MAF sensor by over-oiling it. I went with an AirAid Jr MIT and their synthamax (dry) filter.
