That's what I'd do ... I'd also get some Peking sauce just in case.

LOL. Thanks for the laugh Serge.

Scott, sounds like your hot/cold blend door actuator is bad or gears are stripped. Open the compartment up and locate actuators and figure out which one is hot/cold actuator by changing a/c modes. This is the one you need to replace.

I can't afford a mechanic right now. Peking Sauce I can do, though.

It's blowing hot even when I turn it down. I don't expect cold air, but it should definitely be cooler than when it's turned all the way up. Is there a thermostat back there that might be toast?

If it is blowing hot and then you turn it to cold and it doesn't blow at least luke warm (if the AC compressor isn't on), I would bet it is the rear blend door actuator. I don't believe it is hard to replace on the rear unit. I have not done it, but have seen threads floating around here with people that have.

It's gotta be your blend door back there like Chauncey said since you only have heat coming out of the vents!! The blend door should be the one closest to the back of the truck, right next to the rear heater core!!

And be sure to feed your truck duck while you are back there, when they get super hungry they are known for attacking their owners out of spite!! lol

Here are a couple pics of when I inspected my setup a while back, if you only have heat and no cooling, then it's gonna be the blend door one I marked in the first pic!

Sweet. Thanks everyone. And thanks for the pics, Chris. I'm hoping to get at it tomorrow for a closer inspection. Course, I hoped I'd get to that today as well and it didn't even come close to happening....lol. I hope that's all it is. That sounds like a minor thing I can do myself.

And yes, the front does have cold air. A/C appears to work up there.

If it was me (I don't know anything about AC repair) I'd take it to a shop and get your rear AC compressor checked out by a shop.

No truer words have ever been spoken. Lol

Definitely sounds like a blend door actuator. If you dont want to spend the money on a new actuator just pull it out and jam it so the door stays in the cold position for the time being.

Anyone have a part number or link handy? I want to make sure I get the right thing.

NM. I got smart and pulled it from the pictures Chris posted....I can get it for about $50. If I can install it myself, that's not bad. Also probably means local price is about double that. Gotta love the internet for car parts.
