Whats up everyone I found this forum thru a search on tapatalk and have already gotten a lot of info so I figured I'd introduce.
My name is Chris I have been around cars and trucks my entire life. I wouldn't call my self a mechanic but, something closer to "too broke to pay anyone to fix my stuff so I figure it out" type of guy lol. I'll be 29 in a couple months and haven't figured out how I feel about it yet so old guys feel free to make me feel young lol jk. I'm the proud father of 3 kids two girls 5&2 and a boy who's almost 6 months. The reasons I parted out my race car for a Tahoe but, totally worth it.
I currently live in Virginia but, I hail from the great state of Texas and hope to be back there very soon. I've had my Tahoe since February with some tax money and I parted out my 94 Z28 I was building. I have always loved GM trucks from new to classic. I got a heck of a deal on my truck and love everything about it. It is loaded for the year. My only compliant is that they did not have a factory aux jack on the bose 6disc changer. Lol
I will soon be replacing the stepper motors in the gauge cluster and while I'm at it I will be doing the LED mod. After that is completed if all goes well I plan to do the entire interior in LEDs. If anyone knows a good place to order bulbs and resistors shoot me a link.
My next move will hopefully be efans and exhaust. I've found a good write up on the forum already for installation of the fans I just need to get everything together to do the swap. As far as cheating exhaust for now I'd like to go with a a good factory fit muffler with some decent rumble. Again if anyone has any ideas for a bang for buck factory fit muffler shoot me a link
So here's my Hoe.
I'll throw in some pics of damage from a drunk ******* in a challenger. It happened sitting on the street in front of my house about three weeks after I bought it.
