there knock offs, at least some are honest and will say they are, still works

You can do a reset of the actuators for testing. You can do a search, but I believe it was as simple as taking the battery cable off and turning the ignition key.
There are also more detailed versions, that may not fit or be needed.

I would start with just the battery and key and see if it works for you for one cycle, then a little search will tell you which actuator.
The heat/cold one is easy enough under the passenger dash, there is another one center/driver side that is also accessible. Another one is a whole dash project (some other vehicles require the windshield to be removed..)
