Noise in right rear wheel....help please

I thought I had a similar issue...could possibly be rear transfer case. May want to check your seal, see if you it is leaking at all which would put you low. I could look at old paperwork.

Rear transfer case? do you mean rear differential? I wasn't aware of there even being a rear transfer case.

Like said earlier check e brake shoes their inside your rotor you gotta take your caliper off and then your rotor you'll see two little shoes in there.

Oh wow I thought it would be on the outside and be easy to see....Yea I'll get on that right now. thanks sickblue

I know on my 2000 tahoe the rear is a disc/drum combo. Disc for regular braking and drum for emergency brake. The shoes are inside the drum.

Pads still have life left so I don't think its the problem....I think the rotor splash guard is the prob....it looks to be bad rusted and a.little bent. Going to going the rust and bend it back and see what that does

Have you tried jacking the rear up and put it on jack stands, take the wheels off, then put it in drive so you can take a close look with the axle spinning?

I drove it last night and this morning with no noise so I think that may have fixed it.
