Picked up my E fans off an 05 Tahoe 5.3L for $165.00 and a new 145 amp altenator for 110.

I found out thats its better to wait till something is available for a better price than running out on an impulse purchase cause I saw it on the forum. Call me crazy but with the money saved on e-fans I can squander my savings on a new water pump, thermostat, idler and tensioner. My reasoning is, do it all while I have it torn apart, after all my vehicle is 9+ years old

Do you guys know if the the OEM harness is plug and play, or is there splicing involved?

If you go to the junkyard, and get the oem fans, you should be able to gab the oem harness as well. It might be taped together with other wires, but you can carefully cut it apart.

Awesome thanks. A local chevy dealer is giving me a deal on the fans, 177, and 60 for the harness, so we'll see...
