I did the avh4000nex in my 09 caddy and love it, I always use phone for nav. And all stock controls and buttons work just fine with radiopro5

50 bucks to not have to deal with it is a pretty good deal. The wiring harness for these cars is outrageously expensive too. I would say that's a fair deal.

Don't rule this deck out either. I'm not saying the 4100 isn't better but is it really $150 better? I run the 5700 and don't have any complaints.

Maybe a little late, but I've had the 4100NEX in my 07 Tahoe with Bose for 3 months now. The stock Bose sounds great with it (better than stock) and I haven't had any distortion issues. I use it almost exclusively for Android Auto. I ran gmaps for a 6 hour trip and it definitely wasn't a data hog. Streaming XM is around 60-70mb per hour.

I heard the NEX line only puts out 1.6 amps so how did you compensate for the .5 amp power loss? how did you supplement?

I didn't have to, it kept my Note3 charged up surprisingly. I was planning to supplement with a 2.1 amp charger and wire up the power and leave the data running to the head unit, but I don't have to. It slowly charged (maybe 10% an hour) while using nav and streaming music

I have a note 4 and anything under 1.6 amps makes it decharge since I received a update a few months ago Ill have to figure a way to wire it out.

USB cables have 4 wires in them I believe, two for power, two for data, so it shouldn't be too hard to wire that up (apart from dealing with tiny wires)
