I just PM'd the GM Customer Service Rep on this forum and they've been very gracious about giving me periodic updates.

I just tried the gmc.com chat method and it was quick and easy. Just click on "contact us" near the top right and then click the button for live chat.

Seriously pissed with GM Canada and my local dealer about the 8-speed. I had heard all the rumours and read the articles about the soon to be released 8-speed and was not desperate to purchase my Denali. I had the dealer phone the regional rep and said there were no plans at all to use the 8-speed. Based on that I proceeded with the purchase. Buyer beware I understand but narrow minded thinking on their part. Wouldn't you want your customers to be satisfied and feel good about an $80,000 cdn. purchase?

Your salesman will spew the corporate line he is told to spew. When ever they tell you " I was told" stop believing.
My salesman told me the same thing, because when he checked with his field rep, that's what the rep told him..

I waited for the news and cancelled my 6 speed after the official announcement.
The wait difference will be around three weeks for me. Well worth it.

Salesman's job is to sell the cars on the lot first, then to sell cars through dealer trade and finally to sell cars through orders. If they sell the car on the lot they don't have to worry about you changing your mind later.

Well, GM has re-purchased my 2015 Denali because of some major issues. Having said that, I will probably buy the 2015i because I do like the Denali and GM did the right thing.

Can someone tell me the differences from the one I bought in February to the one they are building now? Thanks!

Thank you. Is there anything to get excited about besides an 8 speed? Or is that a pretty big deal? Haven't been paying attention to the new one.

Wireless phone charging mat, you can open back hatch with wave of your foot, 4G lte hotspot and a updated faster intelelink system I believe.

8 speed is a big deal for some, some could care less. There are a few comical debates here if you get a few hours you want to waste.
