I know blows out hot or cold air through the vents when you use remote start. I can only assume the defrost comes on or how would it defrost the windows?

I guess we are off topic again.

We are, but 09tahoehybrid has what appears to be the same issue, no sense in having two threads that go completely off topic. Not that there aren't enough already...

I'm going to do my best to record and then autostart it, while I try to get it to recreate the noise....and I just read the post about it not doing it with autostart. I believe it will do it either way, it would make sense that it should. Then again, I'm not a mechanic, I just pretend to know something. However, I have only heard it while I was sitting in it, without autostart.

I emailed the previous owner, we'll see what they say. Should be interesting. I figure if they respond I should get an honest answer, if there was ever a problem.

09tahoehybrid,

It may be due to high compressor RPM demand. This is just a suggestion, not a diagnosis. If you are concerned about this issue, I encourage you to take the vehicle in to be inspected by a certified technician.

If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact me.

Thanks for the reply Louis,
When i start the car, I make sure the climate control is off, also im not using the remote starter...could it still be an AC issue like you are suggesting?
I would like to take it to the dealer, but the sound only happens occasionally, so it might be hard to reproduce.

What? Do I not get a suggestion, too?
lol Louis likes me better ;)

In re: to reproducing the sound, I have to delete 6-8 30 second videos off my phone every night. Because it refuses to do it until I'm completely immersed in other thoughts and because I have ADD.

I have high hopes that I can record this noise and post it, so I don't have to make a video of me imitating it, which would be interesting, but no, sorry Yates.
