Yeah I don't buy into the Amsoil hype. Caused cam failure on a couple of our 'company' cars; 2011 - 2012 Dodge Chargers.

Have always used Mobil 1 until this vehicle. This Tahoe was bought used at a dealership and all maintenance was done there with AC Delco synthetic so I stuck with that.

Right now I am running Baldwin B160 Filter with 5w30 Valvoline Hi-Mileage Syn-Blend on my 2007 Yukon XL 2500 with the LY6 6.0L. Seems to work well so will most likely stay with this setup

It is hard to say anything bad about WIX filters. Have used for many years on vehicles and my Harley's years ago.

What type of oil pressure are you getting? I’ve got the same rig.

I have used Mobil 1 5W-30 for the 75k miles of ownership I have owned mine. Used AC Delco filter throughout as well except one time when I used a Mobil 1 Extended Performance (Gold strip) filter and my oil sensor went bad. Possible coincidence but I stayed with AC Delco after that. Changed oil atleast 3 times before and over 3 times after that incident.

I would not trust a paper filter i think it would blow out at 70PSI?

just don't leave the E series filters in more then a year unless you want paper sludge..:hahano:
