thank you in advance for reading my post.

I have a 2005 Tahoe z71 with the regular gas engine.
It was running fine, but i had no heat and no AC.
I took the Z71 to a shade-tree mechanic who i have used in the past.
He replaced the AC compressor, clutch, dryer and tube
And flushed the cooling system a few times
My tahoe has 225k miles
But the engine was replaced at 150k with a used engine
And i replaced the transmission at the dealership witha new transmission.

So when i got my Tahoe back from the dryer was unpluged
The mechanic said the digital control panel was bad and wouldnt turn off the AC
I ordered a new dorman unit of EBay from Kowalski parts.
It was cool here in Charlotte so i did not plug in the AC dryer
We had a warm day, and so plugged the AC dryer in and
Drove a few miles to work
Then home. 20 miles total
Later at night
I was driving and the tahoe started over heating. And blow out al the coolant
I let the truck cool down, filled it full of water to get home
And it over heated and boiled the water out.
I then disconected the dryer
And no over heating issue
Drove the tahoe about an hour
No issues
Plug in the compressor
And overheated about 20 minutes later

I dont think the Aux fans are coming on.

Any ideas what i can try?
I am not going back to the shade tree mechanic
So before i go to the dealership
Id like to try some simple trouble shooting

X2..... sounds like the fans aren’t coming on...

Should the fans come on as soon as the compressor switch on the dash turns on?

I was going to Autozone and pick up some relays today

Fans come on depending on a.c. pressure or coolant be at temp. Where did it boil out? It's a sealed system with no radiator cap..+1 on making sure the cooling fans are plugged in..if you didn't have heat before you would want to make sure you didn't have a clogged heater core or was the interior fan blowing any air at all before tearing into the a.c. system..
