painting depo cutoff shield

im gonna grab some depo's since the depo warehouse is only 10 minutes from my house.
im gonna paint the cutoff shield red to make the projectors look red during the day and match my red bowtie.
but should i use red engine enamile paint or will my red caliper paint work?
i know the lights are gonna get rather hot (55w 6000k vvme's)
gonna match the fogs with 35w 6000k vvme's aswell

I'd probably use the engine paint.

It should be a cool look. I have a friend that painted his shields and it makes the whole projector lens look whatever color the shield is painted. (assuming they aren't on)

Pics when done, please....I want to see how it comes out.

Just a thought, but be careful not to paint the inside of the shield(side facing bulb) as it might give you a red tint to the light, although, that might look pretty cool. And hurry up I wanna see pics.

i saw a bmw5 series with red projectors and i asked how they were done and he said they arent red but the reflection from the cutoff shield through the projector itself. he said he used red paint that could withstand -30 to 300 degrees. it looked real cool. found a few online as well.
blue, gree, purple, yellow...
i'ma try it and try to mod the cutoff shield straight like this
