Oracle halos- $200... Ebay halos <$20. I can't see myself spending that much for a brand name but that's because I don't have that kind of money to spend on my toys. Have you guys seen the color changing smd halos?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQaISUDqMCY&feature=grec_index

ebay halos for bmws, impalas, 300c's, dodge truck etc.... and what not are bigger than the space you have in a tahoe/nali.....

if you get what im saying. you cant just cut them in half

I found some ccfls 85mm that are perfect for tahoe housings but I already have ccfls. I was just giving this info to help out Mike. Smd halos I found 80mm that could also work in tahoe housings.

yeah ive seen all those videos. They are sweet looking. Ive been talking to chauncy about his ccfl halos and went searching and found the uhp leds, didnt know about the smd ones. Thanks for that. the oracle ones, yeah no im not paying $200 bucks, when basically the ebay ones are the same thing. Just like buying clothes to me, they are basically the same thing just built different. But im really liking the smd ones, and those color changing ones, but bet they are expensive as ever. I emailed them again just to see about pricing, but no response yet. I'll let you guys know what they say. For right now, still deciding on which ones to get. Think im going smd. or are the smd, uhp leds the same thing?

You think the 80mm would work also? WOuldnt they be smaller? Where did you find the 80 at? I keep finding 100mm or more?

Wonder what size bmw's are?

On another note, i might be getting some s2k projectors this week!

Definitely take some pics when you get it together. Sounds very unique. Ive seen a few silverados painted the sides, looked good.

Is that your way of saying that it's not going to look good??? lol :Boo:

No, hope you didnt take it that way. I love unique stuff. tired of seeing all rides look the same. I just happen to come across the painting the side markers on gmfs i think and said that would be a cool idea, but i have led ones so im not painting them. I want to see pics of the bumper and lights and all that your getting done. Going to look good, unique, going to be different than every other tahoe around. :Handshake:

80mm here

90mm might work too but may be a little tight on space

And yes i believe the ultra high power (uhp) and surface mount diode (smd) are both referring to the samething.

Oh, no, not at all. As far as the tinting the side markers, I didn't know people were doing that. lol... Just had some extra paint and was trying to find a way to use it all up. I have led & halo headlights but I decided not to hook them up this time around. I'll post pics up as soon as it's all together. Thanks for the compliment! :Handshake:

Ok, back to the original topic...
