That does make sense and makes me much happier. I'm only 5'10" but I have three kids in car seats, which take up tons of room. I was going to be upset if the rear-facing one didn't fit behind the driver's seat any more!

Alright. I have had it for 3 days now. I have about 650 miles on it. I love it so far. I hate to say this but I'm not sure about the 8 speed yet. I think I feel a little hesitation going from 10 to 35 mph. It is slight but I think I feel it. It just feels like I need to push the pedal down further than I should at that speed range to accelerate. Just when cruising. If I get on the throttle it moves. Nothing major. Not a big issue. I'm going to play with it a little more tomorrow.

So it sounds somewhat similar to the 6 speed. Do you feel any "heaving forward" when you are slowing down coming to a stop and the transmission downshifts?

How does the hands free tailgate work? Like it?

It works good. I don't know how often I will use it. Maybe my wife will when her arms or full of groceries.

You just kick your foot under the rear and it opens or closes. Works every time.

So now that I've had it a few more days I have a few small issues....

The rear storage area slopes down towards the lift gate. While driving everything slides back to the rear lift gate. Then when you open it everything falls out. My 2011 did not have a slope. It was flat.

My biggest issue is the seat memory button doesn't work unless the vehicle is running by pushing the start button. This can only be done while holding the brake. It won't work with the remote start. Thus is dumb. Is there a setting that I am missing?

My wife is very petite and I am 6 foot 2 and close to 300 pounds. I literally can't get in the vehicle when she has the seat forward for her. On my 2011 I opened the door and hit the seat memory button. Everything was fine. But on this vehicle you have to push the brake and hit the start button. Horrible. Someone please tell me there is a setting to change this.
