My biggest issue is the seat memory button doesn't work unless the vehicle is running by pushing the start button. This can only be done while holding the brake. It won't work with the remote start. Thus is dumb. Is there a setting that I am missing?

My wife is very petite and I am 6 foot 2 and close to 300 pounds. I literally can't get in the vehicle when she has the seat forward for her. On my 2011 I opened the door and hit the seat memory button. Everything was fine. But on this vehicle you have to push the brake and hit the start button. Horrible. Someone please tell me there is a setting to change this.

change the settings to move the seat back automatically upon exiting. I know when I shut down ours, the seat moves all the way back for exiting, and when we get in and start it, we just press the 1 or 2 (depending on who's driving) and it goes back to our preset.

You can hold down 1 or 2 before you get in and the seats will move with the truck off. Just make sure you hold the button till it stops moving.

Let me start off by saying I love the vehicle. My complaints are small and I only bring them up so others know what to look for when buying. All in all I am happy and love it.

With that being said. This vehicle seems cheaply made. My 2011 felt like it was built better. They cut a few corners to save money and it shows. Little things like a cheap feeling fuel cap and a cheap feeling flimsy fuel door. Remember I am comparing it to my 2011. They could of made these changes a few years ago.

This pic is the Chrome strip on my running boards. It just looks like a bad design where the 2 pieces meet. It is already lifting and coming out if the track. I tried to push it back it but it keeps coming out. I'm sure both sides will do it eventually. I'm guessing the dealer will have to glue them in better. Kind of hard to tell from the pic. But if I leave it alone if will get worse.

Ok. Great. I will try that. It is better than nothing. But it sure seemed easier on my old vehicle just to hit the button.

thats all you do once you have it set for that exit option. It's a permanent setting. You exit and the seat goes back automatically. When you get in, press the 1 or 2 on your door and it goes to your personalized settings. Turn the car off, it moves back to allow easier exiting. repeat over and over. It really doesnt get much simpler than that. :)

I was also having trouble with my seat settings going back to how I like them without having to press and hold the 1 or 2 inside. I followed the instructions for setting it and using the remote to automatically have it set for me when I get in. Couldn't get it to work. Finally read further down in the manual and it suggested trying the other remote since each remote is for only 1 particular memory button but the remotes aren't labeled. Once I switched remotes, works like a charm every time! Not sure if this will help you but maybe it will save someone some frustration!

It does bug me that if you want to press the 1 or 2 in the car to go to a memory setting, you have to hold it down. I have never owned a GMC but in my 05 Armada you just pressed the 1 or 2 once and it automatically went to your setting, without having to hold it down. Minor complaint.

I have a question regarding personalized settings - is there any way to have the mirrors power fold in when you turn the car off or when you exit? I know I can manually do it but wondered if there is a way to have this automatically happen? I've seen many newer cars that do this and I'd love this feature when I'm in crowded lots or parked on a street.

I saw this on a Denali last week at the dealership--Thought maybe it was an anomaly... I was thoroughly unimpressed. Sadly, it looks to be the norm w/ the standard running boards. I built mine w/ the power assist boards. Can anyone speak to the quality of the chrome strip on those. I had a 2008 Denali and it was all one piece.

Weird. I don't have to hold mine down to. I just press it and the seats go where I want them to (setting 1 or 2).
