Anybody go from a pickup truck to a Yukon XL? Had a truck most of my life but really don't have a need for it anymore and with my wife, little guy, and 108lb Weim/Choc Lab mix it would be nice to have the extra space for long trips. I figure I can tow my small enclosed trailer if I need to haul larger stuff around.

Does it matter if I have both a truck and a Denali XL? I would say that if all I had was the SUV, I would have to do a better job of planning projects as I am spoiled being able to decide halfway through the day to stop and pick up some stuff from the lumber yard on the way home but I would imagine I’d make due.

Haha I'd be trading in my pickup for the XL. I imagine that pulling the trailer all the time if I had to move something large may be a pain in the neck. But all I really use my truck for is a side business and I take the trailer anyway for ease of moving our equipment around, so I guess I would be okay. Thanks for the reply.

I will say though... I'm hoping to get back into the pickup truck game.

I got in really early on the Cybertruck preorder.
If the estimates are correct I'm in the first 3k reservations.

And when that day comes... adios Denali.

Never had an XL but had a truck, traded for a Yukon short bus, had 4 trucks since, and recently got my wife a Yukon short bus. I prefer the truck for the reasons given but have thought about getting another yukon in an XL but then need to haul something in the bed that I wouldn't want in a the interior. I have a 4x8 utility trailer I could use but me and that thing do not get a long so prefer not to but if you are fine with a trailer go for the XL.

Had an 04 F150 and an 08 Silverado that I traded for an 08 Suburban. I find that I can haul most stuff in the Suburban that I was hauling in the pick ups. The advantage of the Suburban is that it is more versatile with seating and hauling capabilities. And, if it is raining, you can still haul items in the Suburban without them being exposed to the wet weather.
