just get a bypass valved from aem.... the ran an acura nsx on a dyno with the intake in a fish tank......... it uses pressure to pull air from the bypass valve instead of the filter

LOL...your acting like its 2 inches off the ground...it sits 1 1/2 feet off the ground...higher then the bottom of my bumper...none of our trucks have that much vacuum running through the intake lol...although I understand what your saying (water will damage the engine)...the way it sits, water wont make it up to the throttle body anyways...and I dont plan on driving through 2 feet deep flooded roads in this truck...

If I ever come to that situation, I'll take the cone filter off the bottom and connect it to the 90 degree elbow...bypass the long tube :)

I was gonna post that...CAI kits put the filter at the ground on a lot of rice cars...civics, preludes, integras...etc...their cones are LOWER to the ground then mine is...we never had any issues with "puddles" back in those days...even without any sort of bypass valve

ya i'd mentioned that on the forum you were looking for where the guy made that scoop going down in front of the wheel, didn't know if you saw it, was just about to mention it again, as far as the bypass valve, wasn't sure if they made one big enough, but I see you found one.

looks like a cool set up aside from the chance of water..

youve seen my ghetto fied intake..i cut out the bottom of the air box, and ran a tube from there down to behind my towhook. gets a ton of air now, but when i took it mudding, it sucked up MUD into my motor, through the air filter..the same thing will happen with yours..my tube is just as long as yours, but with more turns and it still sucked actually mud through the filter and into the motor..
