PPV software

I'm curious if PPV stock software is different from LT/LS models? The reason I'm asking, there are some rumours that PPV software modified and you will get more fuel consumption. To fix it you need to tune it with some modified software. Is it true?

The PPV software is modified in 2 ways: (1) tuned for acceleration and overtaking; and (2) speed limiter removed. This applies to the 2015-20 version years. If you keep your foot out of it, it can get around 20 MPG on the highway. Start romping on it and your fuel mileage will drop significantly.

I didn’t really notice a difference. I got the Diablo tuner and NOW I can tell. Turning off that cylinder deactivation was my primary motivation.
