Personally, I would be a lot less worried about whether there was or was not misrepresentation in the product description and a lot more worried about the unscrupulous deletion of a thread from a paying customer doing his best to get help for a problem (real or imagined). And I don't see how bahollis was stirring the pot either - that's just being fair and forthright.

+1

and NO bahollis was NOT stirring the pot.. at all.. YES he went by just the pic.. but it also claims to be a complete kit and its in the ONE pic it shows of it.. so he had every right to assume..

but like you said.. that point aside.. his comment or question no matter how rube or ****** up it was should have been answered.. not deleted.

Not really, no disrespect intended.

If a vendor wants to edit posts, it will be known somehow. This is a case in point, and doesn't reflect good on them.

There is no rule or anything preventing members from posting in open forum about experiences with a vendor. Information on the boards travels like turpentine on a brush-fire, I promise you that everyone will know how a vendor treats his customers. Reputation is everything on the boards.

It depends on how put off a user is by the deletion of a post by a vendor. I'll bet for every member that puts up a stink over it there are two that just figure its not worth it and say nothing when their objection/question gets canned. I don't know, maybe it ISN'T worth it. I understand selling board space to vendors. I don't understand giving them carte blanche because they paid. :Boo: Just because information spreads and can ruin someones reputation isn't really a justification (or good for the community at large).

Ultimately, it isn't my board and therefore I'm just one guy with an opinion so I'll leave it at that.

Hey I don't disagree, deleting posts is a bad move. But they only have access to their forums, it's their store. I'm not opposed to offering up a change to that, but it's not my decision - it's Shaggy's.

I didn't think they could delete posts, even on their forums, that being said, It's jacked up if critiscising posts are being removed. Also, the fact that this thread is up and it hasn't been noticed or contested brings up doubts.. IMO

Just ordered the rest of my LEDs from SuperbrightLEDs. I wouldn't have purchased them from HID even if he did respond after all that has gone down.

Still no response on any of my emails or posts, deleted or otherwise...

Oh well, life goes on!
