So I installed a DEI 5705v Alarm/Remote Start a year ago along with the DEI DBALL2(to bypass the Passlock 2 system), 2 DEI 530T window modules, and the DEI VSM300(to lock/unlock and remote start from my phone). Here’s a great tutorial (with pics) for alarm/RS installation in our trucks:

2 weeks ago I installed the DEI 2102T PKE system and that’s what allows me to walk up to the truck without having to push any buttons and have it unlock the doors. Install was simply plugging the 2102T into my alarm/RS with the provided D2D cable. It took longer to run the two antenna’s to the pillar between the doors than anything else.

This past weekend I installed the push to start button. The unit I purchased integrates into an aftermarket alarm system which kills the power to the push button while the alarm is armed. When the alarm is disarmed, the button gets power. The price of this kit was only $20 but there are a few steps necessary to make everything work. First, you have to permanently bypass your Passlock 2 system in order for the push button to work since you will not be using the key in the cylinder. It is very easy to do if you follow this tutorial:
https://kingbain.com/how-to-permanently-disable-gm-passlock-system/
You also have to bypass the shifter interlock (also since you will no longer put the key in the cylinder). I didn’t get a very good picture of the shift interlock but in the picture you will see the red circle. Just to the left of that there is a tab you push down and that cable pulls out from where it is plugged in. This bypasses the shift interlock so you can shift gears without the key installed:

At that point you just have to install the push to start button. The unit comes with 6 heavy gauge wires that need to be hooked up to the heavy gauge wires in your ignition harness. You need to wire up a relay to make the 1 Accessory wire in to 2 outputs since our trucks have 2 Accessory wires in them. You then connect 4 wires to your aftermarket alarm (as shown in the install instructions). Then plug the push start connector into the module and mount it. This is the unit I purchased:

It may sound like a lot but if you’ve installed stereo’s or alarm/remote starts in the past it really is just following the links/tutorials I posted above. Any questions feel free to ask.
