Well I just received another set of generic mini h1 projectors.... I figured $20 for another set of shrouds or $44 for the projectors with shrouds... Going to run full quad hid with black housings and chrome shrouds.... Yay!

The expensive part is another $150 morimoto hid kit.

The low beam side will be easy. It's getting the high beam side cutout to fit another projector and lined up with the other that will be hard.
I figure I will do both low beam sides, align them, then go off of that for the high beam side.

do you really need HID's on the high beams? are they even on long enough to get to their full brightness?

Do I need it? No... However we take a lot of back roads around here and deer and other animals are likely to jump out at you. It's nice to have the lighting to be able to spot danger...
If there was a low beam only projector for the same price I probably would have bought it...

Edit: Sorry these are bi-xenon projectors. High and low in one light.

I have some extra shrouds that came with my retro if ya need some.

Well I think I am good now. But thanks alot. I will keep you in mind if I mess one of them up.

I would love a quad retro but didnt need it after using the bi-xenon feature on my Mini H1s and grounding the high beam bulb for 4-way highs. Its really bright with that setup!

Yea I agree, sadly its more for looks than anything. If I get better output I will be happy though. I wanted black lights and didnt want a reflector...

I really think Im going to like the black and chrome. I cant stand looking at my lights now, they look like they belong on a civic... I like how the factory reflector flows with the body lines.

I have one retro installed on my truck and it's a night and day difference. I had thought about painting my shrouds to match truck and leave it looking OEM. I'll upload a pic of mine in a little while. It'll look 100x better with a quad retro.

I still need to seal it up and buff the lense.

Okay sounds good bud. If you end up needing/wanting them, just pay for the ride and they're yours.

@pachanga...any reason you used shrouds with your retro, or is it just for looks?
