I figured why not do it to make it standout. I like doing mods that you notice but don't smack you in the face for attention.
Sorry Shawn for posting but just wanted to share with you and for those wanting to do a retro different ways. Didn't you do the fog retro also, hows that looking?

Your retro looks very nice and has a stock appearance. I like it.

No problem Pachanga, all for extra input. So are you planning on going for a quad on your denali lights as well? Im curious to see how that looks.

I like stock ish appearance as well. I know the black isnt stock, but I am hoping to look somewhat stock like our 13 suburban has black and chrome lights...

Yea I did the projector fogs. Im going to swap the projectors out for something better at some point. I think I put the cutoff shield too low and they are a straight pencil beam. most of it is the crappy projector though.

Here are some pics for you.

That's a nice look. I was thinking about doing a quad retro, I've had this setup collecting dust since I think February. Took apart headlights and sanded to fit shrouds and then stopped. When I had my truck at the body shop my friend there had a set of 335i headlights for me and a set from a Porsche not sure what it was but they were thrown out before I got there. I have another set of Oem headlights that I may do a quad in. The output at night is unbelievable. I'm going to pm you have a few questions.

No problem. Feel free to ask. I'll do my best to help.

Yeah I currently have mini h1's retrofitted into my aftermarket headlight housings. Love the output.

Still need to do the retro to mine. One day I'd like to be able to see. Haha.
Looks good any updated pics?

yea you need to get after it! lol

Update!! So my plan was to thread a MH1 into the low beam side, align it, and the JB weld the MH1 into the high beam side. HOWEVER!! a MH1 is too deep to fit into a factory yukon housing. So I started hacking out the backside on both until I ended up with this:

I think Im going to cut out a little more on the low beam side to recess the projector a little further. As of now both projectors clear the front lens and the rear mounting bracket.

I need to open up the drivers side light now and get it cut out so all 4 will fit. Paint the whole inside reflector a satin black, then JB weld the heck out it all.

Looks good. What are you using to cut into the housing?

Im using a FEIN Multimaster oscillating tool with this blade on it. http://www.feinus.com/en_us/multima...iversal-saw-blades-order-no-6-35-02-151-01-8/

Im using just the little extended corner portion to make the curves. I have used a dremel before on something like this and it no mater what speed it melted it more than my oscillating tool. Little tricky once you start playing with one, but after a while you can do just about anything with one.
