Don’t buy anybody’s lower line, even ACDelco. They’re meant to compete with the cheapest Chinese no-name stuff and perform equally as bad. They just want you to have an option to buy a name brand when you see those cheap prices of the garbage parts but it’s still cheap garbage, only with a name brand on it.
I'll give you the low down - this guy replaced his OEM hub on a Hummer H3 with a Moog, went bad 1000 miles later, replaced again, went bad AGAIN around the same time, replaced with Timken after some more research.
I'm not an expert, and am only researching myself, but this video did make me stop and think twice about Moog. There have been some posts here about how they've outsourced to China and their quality has gone down, at least on the lower lines. I am still considering the upper lines, so, who knows.
Oh man. I hate to tell you, but there have been lots of horror stories on the Detroit Axle stuff. One member here even had a wheel completely fall off when a front bearing came apart. Luckily he wasn’t going too fast. Buyer beware. You get what you pay for.Timken and Delco are good if you want to fork out the dough. I like many others have had mixed results with Moog, not what they used to be.
In truth, I've had really good luck out of the ebay Chinese cheapies. I've got one on each of my trucks right now. Replaced a bad Moog with one. Specifically the Detroit Axle stuff I've had really good luck out of.
I order em in pairs. One is ~$55, two is ~$85. Good to have a spare on the shelf IMO, they often go out in pairs.
