So, I'm posting this here because I have some questions regarding auto-ride and lifting my Tahoe, but I decided not to post in the lift thread since it's 2WD, not 4x4. Anyway, it's a 2007 Tahoe LTZ 2WD with the auto-ride suspension. Basically my question it, if I disconnect the battery then remove the RTD fuse that runs the compressor, will I then be able to install a normal Tahoe lift kit, or would I still have to get one that is specifically catered to those with the auto-ride suspension? Just wondering because I would much rather spend $500-$1000 for a normal 4" lift kit, rather than $2100+ for one made for the auto-ride. Any help would be greatly appreciated :). Also, if pictures would help, then I can upload some later, just let me know if they would.

You'll basically have to converts everything over to non autoride. If I'm right that means. Shocks and sensors. @01Konvict would know more about it. Than me . I installed a 7 inch mcgaughys autoride on my tahoe. I put it on my self. It was easy and rides great...

Yeah I'd love to have a 7 inch lift, but gf said I can't get anything higher that 5, said she doesn't want to struggle getting in , but I like the look of 4 inch lifts so works for me. I'm assuming bilstein 5100s would work, but do you have any idea what new sensors would cost, or if they could be self installed? Cause I would prefer to install the lift and everything it needs on my own, since it'd save a ton not having to pay a shop to do it.
