Awesome! So full pull videos are incoming then... [emoji16][emoji106][emoji631][emoji631]

nah, broke two plugs trying to get them into cyl 4 :nono:

can only use like 2-1" extensions and the spark plug socket and still need a pivot head ratchet on it, or it hits the downpipe. and you really cant see what your doing because everything is in the way. and with the two extensions together its too big and rubs on the exhaust manifold and ***** the socket (thus breaking two plugs). soooo i used a 1/4 pivot head ratchet, 3" of 1/4 extenions, 1/4>3/8 adapter to the spark plug socket to put it in... used plugs out of cyls 1&3 so now i have to get more tomorrow.

changed the throttle body also, old one was a little loosey goosey....if i get a few months out of it i'll be happy i guess

likes the iridium plugs. they may be a heat range cold "at this boost level"...so i turned it up a little. the more i turn it up the worse it controls the trans tho. 1>2 shift is usually pretty good, but 2>3 just isnt consistent. sometimes itll run out to the shift point, others itll just shift like 300 rpm after it shifts into 2nd. the ecm/tcm is commanding it to shift so i have no reason to think its something in the transmission. i may try to make the entire 2>3 shift table where i want it to shift at WOT but not sure thats really even going to work, whatever is telling it to shift isnt follow that table anyway.

only other idea i have is to write the entire ecm/tcm OS from a stock equipped truck (van) with a gen4 and 4l80 in hopes that it will shift it predictively.. but that will probably open up a whole bunch of other problems and waste some more time, hptuners credits $$, etc. think im just close to outgrowing the stock ecm/tcm

may of kinda messed up a little. the other plugs are non-resistor plugs, i used them because thompson recommended them. should have probably used a plug resistor with them and they would have worked better.

I know you said you gapped the plugs at .031 so it shouldn't be blowing the spark out, but if you're still having problems with it breaking up at higher rpm I'd try reducing the gap a bit more.

Now I don't have any experience with boosting an engine that has these coil on plug setups, but I experienced a similar issue with my boosted 5.0 and I had to lower my gap to .028 (stock gap is .052-.054, but I was running .035) before it fixed it. I'm even running an aftermarket ignition box, coil, wires, and meth injection. Although the problem was happening both before and after installing the meth injection setup. I would've thought the .035 gap would be good.

yep, this last plug change when i went back to the resisted heat range 8s i did gap them down to .025, it seems to be running pretty good - not showing heat in the threads (which usually means too cold of a plug) i would be throwing in more boost if it was running better :banghead: i put it up around 15lbs and it just acts like its fighting itself. seems to hit a wall and doesnt mph any faster. boost goes up I cant imagine i've max'd out the exhaust side of things, but it does have like 20' of exhaust on it.

still fighting trans, ordered some heat range 7 plugs...prob just turn it down to where everything works good and live with it for a while

the rpm is just rough after 1st gear

its not really slow by any means, but it should be a lot faster lol

1/4mile calc puts it at like 860hp...1/8 mile is probably more accurate because its not as restricted at around 940hp. 20% driveline loss i wouldnt be surprised if it were higher should be well over 1100hp.

may try and make a turndown right at the downpipe to see if that lets it breath a little better
