I am sorta concerned....loading it up on the foot brake "engages" everything when it launches there's no slack to take up.
The transbrake, whatever slack there is between the transfercase to the driveshalves to the front/rear diffs and axles is all going to slam together real fn quick

So? Just don't do it in reverse. @Rocket Man :p

Yes sir. Thats a lot of weight to get set in motion. She gonna be a beast though. I know you'll upgrade where it's needed.

I've said it before but I'm truly impressed with your drive to get shit fixed and not throw in the towel. Very happy you hit the goals you set out to hit. I think I would've given up lol

doubt it...

must of missed story time - what kind of idiot would use it in reverse? :secret: transbrake is only able to be used when shifter is in D1/2/3 gears... with the 6l80 column shifter and 4l80 i can only put it in D3 or D4 (6l80 only ever had drive and tapup/tapdown)

i'll see what works better not sure how the 2step would work with foot braking, if transbrake doesnt seem to immediately break shit its all good.
but foot braking to 5k rpm cooks the trans fluid pretty quick - so its risk burning up the trans or break some axles, both suck but id rather preserve the transmission i guess.

Story goes... some ******* standing by the side of the street decides I’m driving too fast in his neighborhood and starts throwing shit at my truck so I lose it and stop about 200’ past him, throw it in reverse, and launch a WOT reverse run back to him. After exchanging words I proceed to leave the scene and hear an axle banging around. I managed to drive about a half mile and decided to call a tow. Seems reverse WOT pulls aren’t wise when boosted...left front cv axle came apart and the axle tube snapped on the right front. Im thinking the way it’s designed, the front diff is set up to be strong in forward only. Kinda weird how that axle tube snapped in half, the main housing must have twisted enough that it broke the tube.
