Wow! That’s badass. Sorry about the turbo. Wtf...

it breaks stuff :deal:

but really i dont know. its usually crank case pressure when it happens.

i swapped the passenger side valve cover out for the stock one a week or two ago cause the cover was leaking on the the other one. both covers still have a 10an on them. i drilled out the baffling on the aftermarket ones - id rather have to empty catchcans once a week than keep going through this crap.

other thing is the oil pressure, sensor is in stock location, after filter and 6k+ rpm will read almost 90psi. i grab oil for the turbo right after the pump so good chance its well over 100psi in high rpm. i think these (thrust bearing type) like a lot of oil volume but not so much pressure going to ask him if he thinks i should restrict it down when he gets back to me with quote for rebuild kit

i do a few transbrake+2step launches and i kill the turbo :banghead:

unrelated im pretty sure, but after another oil drain fitting, this turbo is just leaking oil between the center section and the exhaust side. only does it under boost (which is also when i have high oil pressure 85psi+) but shit is vented with 2-10an on valve covers. i emailed them to see if they repair or will sell me parts to rebuild it.

guess ill throw the 80mm back on in the mean time to putt putt around
At least the drivetrain held up! ;)
