Ordered that obd aem wide band. Where did you power yours? I'm assuming add a fuse but which one and where did you source power?
i have abunch of added crap on mine, couple relays for fuel pump, water pump, etc. i have the stud under the fuse box cover with a couple ring terminals on it. one of them is switched the other is always hot iirc.
i think i originally just tapped off the cig lighter circuit but mine stay hot all the time and (my) wideband if energized goes into heating mode if its on and not up to temp (doesnt know it isnt running i guess) and as long as mine would sit it was enough to kill the battery after a couple weeks...soo uh dont do that. it doesnt use jack shit for power i wouldnt worry about tapping it with any switched source really

Thank you. After reading a little last night, I think I'll do an add a fuse under the dash, if I can find and empty slot thats key on hot. I don't want to cut or splice any wires if I can avoid it.

With an add-a-circuit you don’t need an empty slot, just a fuse that is hot with the key on. It adds a fused circuit that taps off the unfused side and doesn’t affect the original fuse circuit.

Yup you can use these to tap into the panel under the hood or the side dash panel.

Where is that panel? And will the "mini" add-a fuse Mark linked plug in there? Sorry, I've had the complete dash out of the truck but I've never seen that part (never looked either)
Thank you Mark. I was wondering if we had "Mini" fiuses or the other smaller size. I can't think of the name.

Id rather keep it under the dash vs under the hood to save a few wires being ran through the firewall.

You guys are the bomb.com!

The under dash panel is directly behind the emergency brake, there is a black plastic cover that snaps on and off. That is where I first wired up dash cam leads too. I have since removed that and ran the dash cam feeds to the side panel fuse box on the left side of the dash where the door meets.

Sorry to clog your thread up Randy. Next time it'll only be unnecessary jokes and flirting...
