I think you should but that’s easy for me to say. Those things kick my a*s every time I install one. :devilfinger:

What brand is the new case half? GM or aftermarket of some sort? Casey's finally got the pump rub hole in it.

Also, laughed at the crocs comment, not the fact the the t-case took a shit.

Osha approved flip flops. Nice!

i think im gonna. and leave it for a while. not like im going to be trying to launch this thing and worrying about 60s for a while. its probably better in real fine sand but using the other and having problems offroad will atleast give me cause to swap it back. if not then it was never needed in the first place

i think it was from a whole master rebuild kit from like "rigid axle" or somewhere like that. they sell about 10 different level of rebuild kits

maybe avoid the chain and sprockets though... i hardly ever abuse mine and they already wore out :angels2:

Thanks Randy. I looked at their website. Dorman and a couple other places make "aluminum" halves and few make magnesium aftermarket. I'm not sure which one he'll go with. Its the 149 also so your posts about rebuilding it will come in useful when we get there.

yea this one is just "reinforced" aluminum...a lot heavier :( but hopefully for a good reason.
149 is pretty easy, cant really put it back together wrong or you wont get the case halves back together.
on the borg warner tc the planetary is a pita to get back together if it misaligns any of the outer gears to inner gears n crap, doesnt seem to be the case with the planetary in this one tho
