it never ceases to amaze me, how little i know
so im trying to get this thing to idle down, no screws to turn on this badboy so i try dropping final minimum airflow, again and again and again. drop spark a handful of times. i get it to sit and idle like 100rpm lower, which is still about 1000rpm wth. start, log, stop, tune, rinse repeat about 10 times...shit just wont go down any more with any stability.
i notice my tps% never get below like 30%. i kind of wrote this off a long time ago thinking it just wasnt reading the right thing, or the ls3 throttle body didnt scale over correct or something. looking through hptuners i try a throttle cleaning procedure (you just kinda hit the button it freezes for a sec then comes back??) ok whatever i push the throttle control button, to control it from hptuners and the throttle closes to like 10%. and you can audibly hear the throttle moving up and down as commanding. ok sweet. now how do i make it do that when trying to idle.
quick little google find two settings, percent max and percent max brake, that should be like 2-3% and mine are set on 15% :emotions122: turns out theyre more of a max the throttle can close value. meaning it would never close beyond 15% of the span. i have no idea why they values are so high, given i had no idea what they did so pretty sure i didnt change them. looking back at the earliest tune i have stock is 1.98 and the other 2.61. i set them both at 2.5 and ill see how it does.
sooo by now ive already started and stopped this loud POS about 30 times with horrible idle oscillation, going to give it a rest tonight and get back atit tomorrow after work.

Thank you. After reading a little last night, I think I'll do an add a fuse under the dash, if I can find and empty slot thats key on hot. I don't want to cut or splice any wires if I can avoid it.

There's also keyed hot and ground behind the cover on the passenger side of the dash. That's where I tapped for my radar detector power.

idle is down to 800 and everything seems to work a lot better lol, ac cycles on and off without causing the rpm to yo-yo(main issue before), fuel trims are pretty much dead on while idling(were always off before), take off is fine(always was ok), come to stop is fine (wasnt bad), if you stab it very low speed and immediately let off it wants to yo-yo the rpm a little but steadies back out after a few seconds.
cruised it around and wasted some $5/gal 93 today. ambient temp about 83ish, ac on, chiller on, temp cruising gets seems to land about 195ish, it will climb if youre beating on it a little but falls back down to there. when stopped temp falls back down to like 170s even with ac on. happy with all that
rear end the g80 mechanism is broked, took the cover off, all the gears look perfect, the g80 stuff has some teeth missing. just threw it back together with some new fluid, seemed quieter. i'll have to put a locker in it at some point.
got chain and sprockets to fix the 149, havent done it yet. the bw4485 sounds ok so far.

eaton-detroit will work, my trans guy told me if you run 35's or bigger it would need some beefier stuff in the transmission as well, but with all the HP you have dealt with it's probably already done.

Awesome dude! Put some miles on it and enjoy. All the upgrades you've done to everything should make it a rock solid piece. Sooo many upgrades
