Thanks sun, I appreciate the info.

Well, today was a loooong assss day. Went to a buddies house to do the install and with the intention of just doing the intake manifold gasket and water pump gaskets. On the ride there, the CEL lite started to blink(NOT good), it was misfiring. Boy was I wrong, intake turned into valve cover gaskets which turned into spider injection upgrade and a good cleaning. It was such a mess under there, the buildup was so thick and some signs of oil inside the manifold was back towards the rear of the manifold. I wish I had the money for some mods, today would've been a good time to install them to, hah. Oh yeah, installed my ignition to, plugs, wires, coil, cap and rotor box to but I unplugged untuil I can find out why it didnt work. For some reason the MSD ignition box did not work, no spark when plugged in. Plugging it into the factory location and it worked fine. It was modified when I bought it, thought it was going to be fine, thought wrong :( .
Thought we were done until I was pulling away. He took a look under and saw it was STILL dripping. WTF, I'm aggrivated. Tomorrow I am going to get some radiator leak stop and see what happens. I'm going to fall into an eternal sleep....

At first it was dripping off of the bell housing. Then last night I took it for another drive and saw it was dripping off of the bell housing ans somewhere on the passenger side.
Thats the first time I saw 2 puddles. I'm going to put it back up on stands and take another look today.

I will tell you this, its running like a scalded dog now.
The plugs were original and had almost no electrode left, the cap was so distorted and coroded and the rotor was also very coroded the tip was melted. I'm not sure how it was running. I think it was on its last leg on the way over to his house, when the CEL started blinking. I just about sheet myself. The CEL turned off as soon as I started it after all the work.
This leak is really getting to me.

Ok a little update. I havent seen any more leaking (keeping my fingers crossed).
But, I cant seem to get the new spider assembly to seat unti the upper manifold. It has a leak and just stalled getting off the highway. I need to get this to seat correctly or this is going to get messy again.

Has anyone installed a new spider assembly? If so did you guys have any problems seating into the upper manifold?

i do know that if the spider lines are not in teh right places it wont seat right.. there is a thing saying one has to be on top .. they would be going the right places.. but one has to be on top of the other one ir it wont seat right.. like 3 has to be over 5 or something like that.. cause there is an obstruction and it has to be routed a certain way

I just did it a few weeks ago. You must install the lines just like in the picture and put lots of grease on the main connector oval oring. When mine would not seat, the electrical connector (harness end) would not click lock onto the spider socket. When the spider was seated into the manifold, it would stick up far enough.

OH CRAP.
Well, has anyone removed just the upper manifold to do this?
Or I should ask. Can I do this by just removing the upper manifold?

yes you can pull just the upper intake. And the spider assembly does have to be installed in a certain way. Upper intake should be fairly easy. no coolant loss or need to pull the distributor.
