Might just be axle bearings and they're pretty easy to replace. Doesn't the silverado have leaf springs and wouldn't the attachment points then be different?

That’s what im worried about its a 2 hour trip Id hate to go there and find out that it doesn’t fit, that’s what im suspecting the bearings but I’ve been to 2 mechanics and both of them said I should replace the diff.
it still drives im really not sure feels like mechanics are trying to rip me off

There's more profit in changing a differential than a wheel bearing. You said the noise is at the wheel so that is the place to start. It's not overly complicated but you need the right tools to do the job proper, my sixteen year old daughter can and has done it.

Yes, you have to pull the pin so you can pull the axle out to get at the bearing and seal. Of course, you'll also pull the caliper and set it aside and the bracket.

Get a subscription to AllDataDIY and you can see and print how to do it. Just don't rotate the carrier too much after you pull the pin, makes it a pain to get the c-clip back in. When was the differential fluid last checked and or changed?

Let's be more specific, your axle shaft on one side is bent? Or is an axle tube bent? Did you pull it out already and see that the shaft was bent? (just reread the post)
