I ordered my replacement part from Alphatherm today. Spoke with them and they said that the problem GM had was the circuit board on the older models would get to hot and fry. Thats why they added the fuse in the last recall. The dealer techs and the contact at Alphatherm both said that the older models are the ones with the biggest risk of overheating. Alphatherm used the last gen module from the old company and improved it from there. It comes with a 12 month warranty. I have found a dealer that will take the old out, put the new one in and certify the recall on my vehicle.

Thanks! I recieved my letter today and there was a reimbursement form in the envelope.

It is filled out and in the mailbox!

Fingers are crossed but should be a no brainer.

Got the call today from GMC, my reimbursement was denied b/c they said it was a "different part" ???????

They are going to get a nasty phone call and letter.

I am in shock, the delaer even said that i should get reimbursed.
