Scratch that, went back into reduced power mode. Put about 25-30 miles on it before it came back on.

Have the codes read at least. Even better, get a scantool. Otherwise take it to a shp for diagnosis ($100 at my shop).

You can buy an OBDII reader for less than $100. I bought one years ago and it's paid for itself many times. You can't really diagnose a car without one anymore. When my Denali was having problems because of clogged cats, it would go into that mode and if I went in and cleared the codes, the CEL light would turn off and it would run fine again for awhile until it threw codes again. As long as I didn't hammer the throttle it was fine. I carried the scanner with me and would note the codes before clearing them. That gave me time to diagnose it and like I said before, it pointed to several things like the TPS, MAF, etc. but eventually it turned out to be cats. I'm not saying your cats are bad again after only 2 years although if they were replaced with cheap ones it's possible, but the scanner will definitely help you diagnose things. Good luck.

He's not far off..

If you have replaced your cats not long ago and never resolved the issue as to why your cats died in the first place, you will have the same results. Cats dying are a an effect and not a cause. Find the cause.

So, after about a week of my truck sitting in the shop, they finally figured out what was wrong with it. It was the connector to the TPS.

Did they explain to you why this killed your cats?
They didn't say anything about the cats at all, or whether if they were good or bad. It's not throwing any more codes and the CEL hasn't come back on yet either
