Front shocks are leaking, rear shocks both have leaks. I think ots time to ditch the autoride system.
I am looking at one of three choices, the arnott replacement kit, Bilstein 5100, and monroe reflex.
I am leaving it at stock height and running stock tires.

My question is, do I have to replace the coil spring in the rear?
If so, why?

Thanks

My autoride compressor just died for the second time and i`m thinking of eliminating autoride too.

I was wondering if towing and weight capacity will be affected by leaving the springs and just getting billstein shocks?

Last week i had about 500 pounds in the back and it was noticeably sagging.

The only good thing abut the compressor dying is that the back almost sits level instead of being way higher than the front which i hate.

Are the springs stiff enough once you remove the air shocks?
I see people here about replacing them and the arnott replacement kit comes with coil springs.

I just add helper bags inside the coils for the guys who tow. 80 bucks cant go wrong and no use in changing coils. Get the helper bags.

I just replaced the compressor with the Arnott compressor and it works great but I still have that alarm on the damn error code How do I get that off because it works great, turns on for 10 seconds at the start up and blows up when I have a load and shuts off when I don't.

I have another question about eliminating autoride.

I`ve been looking at the bilstein 5100 shocks and i`ve seen that people are saying that the shocks give them a 1.75 inch lift in the front.

I`m assuming that they`re talking about the ones with the height adjustment and not the normal ones?

I don`t want a lift in the front or rear on my stock height yukon.

The part numbers for the ones i`m contemplating are the 24-186643 for the front and 24-187237 in the rear. If anyone here has these can you confirm that they do or don`t give any lift?

Thanks.

Kind of got off topic here.

If I replace the coils in back, what do I need to know to order them?
I know that arnott sells them, but if I get them from another source, how do I know what I am looking for? Is there strength or weight to differentiate them?
