Yes he did, thanks. Unfortunately the tune doesn’t reveal any silver bullets, the converter isn’t locked up during shifts. So it looks like the only thing we can do is increase torque management which currently is at 25% of the factory level. I have contacted Performabuilt to ask for a suggestion. Justin mentioned the servo is pretty much in control of how hard the 1-2 shift is; they use the Sonnax billet 2nd gear servo and they utilize their own proprietary shift kit. Hope we can figure this out. Breaking the output shaft hitting second is pretty hard core shifting. Sure is fun to drive though.
Easier on the launches? I know, I know! I wouldn't either probably---just had to say it out loud tho :D:burnout:

I mean, it’s kind of hard to just throw the $5k I have into this trans and and converter out the window. I really need this to work, and Performabuilt says it should easily do what I need it to reliably. Allan said they specialize in these and they see these in AWD Tahoe’s and Yukon’s with more power than I have and they very rarely break. They’re confidant we can make it work.

Yeah, who else here has broke an output shaft on their trans? Only one I know of... The Beast! And it was loud, too. I definitely knew something snapped when it happened.
pretty sure I broke mine twice, transmission shop told me they had never seen a transmission break the way I did it, I wish I had taken pictures when they showed the me the "guts" and I think both times I did it, it was between a 1~2 hard shift accelerations, I cant remember how many times I blew a 4l60 over 10-12 years towards the end I found a better shop and there's seemed to hold up better and I had to teach myself to not jam my pedal so dam hard it was costing me money. Now when I catch myself doing it I tend to ease up a hair I think I have a new record for not breaking a trans since I got the 2012 3 years! :party33: the shop guy knows me and knows I will be back it's just a matter of time lol.
