If that is the place I think it is I would look elsewhere. I bought a 270a alternator from them. Rebuilt it about 3 times, was laggy in low rpms..$600 down the drain.. much happier with my DC power unit. 200a idle..handles the fans much better..

Oh hell, I see you already ordered it..hopefully u have better luck. I'm local to them.good guys but damn my stereo whooped that alternator's ass!!

From what I read, they had some problems years ago but lately they have been getting good reviews. I don't have a huge stereo drawing a lot of power so hopefully I'll have good luck. And it was only $250; I couldn't justify $600 for one from someone like DC Power.

The last 2 days have been spent installing my Tru-Cool Max 34,000 BTU trans cooler. I didn't feel comfortable with the tiny stock one having to be sandwiched between the intercooler and the radiator. I needed a location for the Tru-Cool and had hoped I would be able to fit it behind the lower bumper grill. As soon as I put the truck up on ramps and had a look, I knew it would work. First thing I did was remove the Denali Down Under grill which I had previously installed by just sliding the tabs into the existing holes in the plastic lower grill. Then I removed the plastic OEM grill since I was planning on opening it up to add more airflow. I noticed the DDU grill could be installed in place of the OEM grill instead of over the top of it. I just had to install the plastic push clips in the holes of the DDU grill- perfect! Next I saw there was a perfect location to install 2 bolts in the upper tabs of the cooler. I test-fit it, thinking I could bolt the lower brackets in with the straps they provided. After installing the upper bolts though, the cooler was extremely solid so I decided that's all it needed.

Next I decided to paint the cooler black so it would be stealthy. I had a few issues getting the lines hooked up, mainly because as I was finishing yesterday it started pouring rain, then lightning and then a huge amount of hail. So I quit and started again this morning and I wasn't really into it but needed to finish so the first thing I did was take my favorite tool, my 4" angle grinder , and start cutting the old cooler out and cutting the lines so I could hook up the new lines. And I told myself to be careful but one of the cuts was in a bad place and it was raining again and...then I noticed trans fluid dripping from a line I wasn't trying to cut. Yep, I cut into the line coming from the trans to the radiator. I had just replaced this line a few months ago after it came loose from my trans and spewed fluid all out. And it was a ***** to replace back then. But luckily it was easy enough to cut it all the way through and slip some hose over it, push it back together, and add 4 hose clamps. Fixed. I hooked up the remaining lines and checked for leaks. All good. It looks stealth, the DDU grill looks better without the plastic one behind it, and the Tru-Cool should work real good to keep the trans cool no matter how hard I drive it.

Which way did u mount the cooler? I've seen them mounted both ways but it seems the inlets and outlets need to face up. Good use of space though . Those coolers are big

It is the Tru-Cool Max. Maybe they've changed them? All 3 sizes have the inputs/ outputs on the side. This is the one I have.

Lol..I'm so confused..I didn't know there are different options. Mine run from the top and it's fairly new..even better u got that big Ole thing to fit down low.havent seen anyone else do that...legendary lol..

I think it depends which BTU unit you get. I have the 40,000 and the hoses go into the bottom like the factory.
