I’ll probably get a steamer. Any idea what kind I should get?
I have heard you can use a clothes steamer but I have not confirmed. When doing the vinyl in Caddy I am just going to try the one my wife bought for clothes.
Where’d you buy those? They don’t look like the regular all black ones.
Katzkin gave them to me for being such a nice feller. They had red stitching and red in the perforated holes.

Bet you could sell your old oem seat covers--just to recoup a little $$.
Oh hell yeah, they’re not very worn. Truck only has 60k on it. I figure $300 easy. I already have a buyer for the LT dash for $400, just waiting for his funds to replenish, and I could have sold the tan Tahoe dash for $100 the first day I put it on FB marketplace yesterday but I’m waiting for a bit more but I did only pay $150 for the entire dash with everything included. I figure if I sell most of the stuff I’m taking off this entire upgrade won’t cost too much.

LKQ called and said the first console failed QC, as well as another one. Then they called later and said a third one passed and will be here a week from tomorrow. The Katzkins are shipping today. Just waiting for info on when the carpet ships.

Funny--someone just emailed me asking if I had a ds in black leather--which I don't.

OC Carpets just let me know it shipped today, should be here in 5 business days. Got started with the removal. I’m cleaning and applying Leather Refinish Color Restorer and then taking good pics before I remove the covers so when I advertise them for sale they will look their best.

Just fries. Today I started figuring out how much to budget for the sub. Of course its more than I thought, everything is. I'm going to go with a pre-made box that fits inside the console and the Ebay seller I'm looking at has great reviews and there were a couple members here who used this box with good results. I could make one but figuring out all the dimensions and then all the trial and error is more than I want to do. As far as the amp and sub, I'm going with what worked in The Beast- with a bit of change on the amp. I used a Soundstream Picasso Nano 1.450D 450 watts RMS into 4 ohms but now I can buy its bigger bro, the 1.650D 650 watts RMS into 4 ohms for less. I might swap the amps out and put the bigger one in The Beast since that sub is way in the back and this one will be right next to me. For the sub, it's going to be the same, JL Audio 10W1V3-4. It fits the enclosure specifications almost perfect. The box is $150, amp is $100, sub is $180 for a total of $430.

I assume you are talking about Rodney's boxes. He is the one I bought my box from that is between the buckets of the second row.

I wonder how much extra space you have under the console since you don't have the factory Bose amp taking up space under there?

I was just thinking, if you needed/wanted some extra air space in the enclosure, that Rodney could probably accommodate you as he is pretty easy to deal with.

It sounds like you already have the air space you need for the sub you chose though.

Just thinking out loud so to speak.
