I prefer Pioneer radios over anything else. @Trey Hardy had recommended a Sony DD to me. Gifted it to my gf for her van. Of course i was driving it for awhile. I just didn't like the Sony, and neither did my gf. Sold it after a few months. I then bought ANOTHER Pioneer DD. I have 3 now. They're just so easy to use, and they come with lots of nice features. Did yours come with a remote?
I don’t think so. I never used them anyway. But yeah I love the Pioneers. This one has wireless CarPlay and it connects instantly, which is better than the previous generation which had a lag. I like being able to keep my phone in my pocket.

Not Sony cuz all I use is kenwood that’s all I ever have used lol but had a lot of buddy’s with pioneers and they all loved them IMG_6737.jpegthis is the one that was in the truck it had a cd player behind the screen
The one in the Tahoe is a lil smaller and has the cd player on top like normal it’s a older one from 2016IMG_4178.jpeg

Got the Pioneer installed. At first there was no audio so I called Crutchfield tech support, glad I bought the Crux interface from them. He talked me through and we ended up wiring the amp turn on to the accessory wire, not sure why the Crux wasn’t doing it. Sure is nice having a new touch screen with wireless CarPlay. It makes the interior look current, that old HU was a brick and the navigation had a lot to be desired. Sounds better too.

Also installed the Arnott rear shocks. The compressor actually still works fine which is amazing considering the old shocks. I haven’t seen any this bad but this is a Washington vehicle and they do use some salt on the roads. The rust is not bad at all but the left shock sure was! First thing I saw on the DIC was the “ service stabilitrack “ and “ service traction control “ messages but I knew exactly what that was thanks to this forum- sure enough I unplugged that damn connector on the right frame rail. Plugged it back in. I was able to do the ALC trim set calibration and the “ service suspension “ messsge was gone. Went to the dog park and when I started it to come home, the messsge was back, so I used the Tech 2 to figure out it was the RR damper actuator which is what Arnott supplied the resistors to plug in and spoof the computer. I swapped them side to side and the trouble didn’t follow so I figured it was the connector - the old shock had corrosion on that connector. I used contact cleaner and exercised the plug and now no more messages. Yay!
