I was cleaning the Tahoe up the other day and noticed some rust developing on the inside of the doors.

Anything I csn do to remove/prevent/slow down the rust?

Thanks!

Sand down the area (assuming it's not rusted through) and get all the rust off, prep it, and paint it...

I had the same thing on my 00 Tahoe. I scrapped/sanded away any loose rust, sprayed it with rust converter and painted it. I did this about a month ago and the rust is already coming through again.

Which is why you gotta get the rust completely out cuz it'll come back again from behind. POR15 is the only product I know of that'll actually stop rust on the spot but it's possible that there are other products that'll do the same thing.

Search for it online. Paint stores carry it but you can also just buy it online. Also keep in mind that a little will go a long ways. The stuff spreads real easily and will cover quite a bit of area.

Is this something you can just put on with a brush, or do you need to scrap and sand? Sorry, new guy here.
