Thanks for the info Tim! I'm going to ask my dealer about this next time we do an oil change. Might go ahead and order the parts now. Much appreciated!

Anyone else interested if I can do a bulk GM order?

Man that advanced remote with the screen looks awesome! Website says 250 installed? If so that's not a bad deal at all!

I am ... but keep in mind there are 4 or 5 different variations of this thing with different PNs, so folks have to be really careful about making sure it's the right one for their truck.

I think the cheapest i have seen the part is for $120 http://www.shopchevyparts.com/elect...art-use-extended-cab/19171129-p-92251516.html ... obviously dealer install, considering the mess on Tim's truck :) , is going to be about another $120.

Oh and thanks for the very helpful pic Tim ... it's still somewhat unsightly but at least it's inside the truck. Maybe limo tinting the rear doors/trunk/liftgate windows will hide it better.

Btw, what is that stuff resting on your wheel well?
Power lift gate stuff or train horn stuff?

I think I can live with that antenna. I would prefer it to run vertically at the front edge of that window if possible. Just depends on how much cable it has with it.

If I am reading the GM accessories page correctly, the part number that I need is 19157237. I will probably order it and have it installed at the same time as the extra alarm sensors. I have a $100 off coupon for installed accessories from my dealer. Gotta love a coupon!!!!

do tell, how you get a 100 coupon? Did they forget to add oil to an oil change or something?

lol.... They gave it to me when I bought the truck. I just haven't had the need to use it until now.

My local dealer was about to charge me $300 for the install for both. They said they had to program the car's computer twice which was a lie. They reduced it to around $150. I bought it from partstaxi.com. He has the best prices and fair shipping costs. I cannot remember the price for both as it was back in April or so.

System seems to work as advertised. I shook the vehicle with it on and it went off. DIC says Tilt Sensor Off or something like it when I take out the key. You then push the reset button to turn it off. I don't know if it ever was "tested" by someone else or not. Still have my four chrome center caps for my Denali wheels so probably not.

Just a heads up about the advanced remote and 2 way system. The advanced remote fob is HUGE. I looked into this a couple months ago when I bought my truck and read peoples reviews who said that they would not do it again due to the fob being so big, and the range not being much better that the stock remote start.
