I took mine to a tranny shop and they did it for $65. If your mechanic is asking questions and not sure about needing something then I would go to a tranny shop. They would be better prepared to know what you need and don't need.

Also check on getting it re-tuned with Justin so he can tie everything together.

I just checked a local transmission shop and they quoted me at $290 for labor only. They said they would have to remove the exhaust, cross member to make room for the 6-7in pin that the servo has and I only have 2" at most to work with. I just looked up on youtube on how to do it and it doesn't look hard at all but then I again I have been doing my own mechanic fixes for a long time. I've never worked on transmissions because they scare me with all the valves and springs but this is somewhat external I think i'm going to do it myself.

For the people that have done it the kit that you bought does it come with all the o rings to replace? Do you use your old spring and pin?

I just called a reputable transmission shop and he told me that they do it all the time and that it doesn't mess anything up, plus I told him I have big wheels and tires and he said that the servo would help with the way that it shifts through gears. This is going to be done for less than $100 including the price of the servo. This would include putting all new o-rings, seals. My dad is the recomended this shop to me and he has been going there for over 10 years and the guy does nothing but the best work.

My experience: make sure you take your time to shop around and ask for a reputable shop that people have had first hand.

Also theres no need for a pin swap unless yours is worn out.

This sounds interesting I'm down to do this to my Kon if it really helps the shifting.

I didn't ask the guy but I was telling him I looking for a B&M but he says he warranties his for for 12K mi or 1 year. He mentioned something to me about a billet I told hime to put in the one that will last and won't break.

I was looking at the longer pin but I don't know what is the benefit of a longer pin. Anybody know?

I got my Yukon XL back yesterday after 45 minutes at the transmission shop and let me tell everybody out there this is the best $95 w/ servo included I have ever spent. This makes a huge difference specially with big wheels and tires. Before you were able to feel the lag between 1-2 and somewhat 3-4 now every gear is in immediately. Even the transmission guy said that this could remedy the oversize wheels and tires that people put that can burn up the transmission from having so much lag from factory.
