Doubt it. When it's military y'all get easier inspections and importations. You should check out up garage before you leave and bring back jdm goodies to resell or hook me up lol

By the way, the Tahoe is fixing to be put on a boat back to the best damn country in the world! Lol. Now I just have to wait till I get it and see what the total cost is gonna be for maintenance/repairs. It seems like the list is getting bigger:

New tranny, or replace the valve body
Fix the serious vibration/shaking when I hit 60+ MPH
Possible front and rear main seal oil leak
Rough idling
Possibly new tires
Inner CV boots replaced
Fix the A/C
Coolant leak from intake manifold hose
Convert the rear tail lights and reverse lights back to American standards
And, probably replace the exhaust manifold gaskets. I think I have an exhaust leak

That's it for now, I'm sure something else will come up. Keep in mind, she's only got a little over 70k miles on her. It's pretty obvious that the Japanese owner before me completely neglected her....

So, I've been thinking. Maybe my tires need to be re-balanced? Maybe that's why my truck shakes crazy once I hit 60+ mph? Or, could it be the lug nuts I have on there? The front end parts looked good to me when I looked at them....

Or, I just need new tires? I've been wanting the 285/75 BFG all terrains for a while now...

Just to catch up on this thread; I just got my Tahoe from Dallas on Friday. It did get through customs just fine. All I have to do is get it inspected and registered now. I couldn't chance driving 250+ miles to San Angelo, Tx on the bald tires I had on there so I got new ones. Not the 285/75's like I wanted, NTB didn't have those in stock. So I just settled for 265/70's BFG long trails. :( oh well. That gives me a little extra money to take care of the other problems I got with her. Apparently, my pitman and idler arm are out. That would explain the truck driving like a boat all over the road. Also, I'm gonna take her to a shop tomorrow to get the tranny checked out. When I hit 60+ mph, the truck shakes pretty violent. It wasn't the tires cuz I had just got new ones and they were balanced. So, I'm pretty sure it has something g to do with the drive train. Not to mention, she still shifts really rough from 3rd to 4th gear. The tranny will probably fall out on me any day now... I'll post updates
